Walt Disney Television was the former name of the television production arm of The Walt Disney Company. It was formed in 1983 as Walt Disney Pictures Television Division, later changed in the mid-1980s. Prior to the name, Disney television shows would be aired under the Walt Disney Productions name. The first show aired under the name was Good Morning, Mickey! on The Disney Channel. It closed in 2003, rebranding as Walt Disney Television Animation.
Some of Walt Disney Television's most popular shows include Adventures of the Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dinosaurs, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Disney's Doug, Lizzie McGuire, Kim Possible, Hannah Montana, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, and Recess.
