Recess: An American Cartoon
Recently I just watched every single episode of Recess, all 127 episodes plus the movies. While watching all of these it occured to me why I love Recess so much even though I am 18 now. It is not because I yearn for the days of my childhood. It is not even because Recess is spectacularly well-made, which to be clear it is. No, what really appeals to me is that Recess is a cartoon which is pro-America. There are too many cartoons and childrens programmes over the years which have ben nothing but anti-America nonsense. Many of the shows I used to watch when I was a child have become unwatchable to me now because they are neither complex nor engaging. Recess, however, is different.
